We fished 7 mile pretty much all weekend. Fishing was sporadic... one in a couple of hours and then a flurry of activity. Pretty much was like that for the two days. We concentrated on the north and west side pretty much cause that was where we were getting the most hits. We caught around 24 and kept 4. Most were in the 22 to 25" range. Very typical. What worked well was plain red or orange hooks with leeches or crawlers. The largest we got were two 26 inchers we caught on Saturday. Weather was nice and it was hot but it was nice out on the pond.
There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot. - HookedGood
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
