i use this interactive weather map to check out lakes sometimes you can get clear pics of lakes showing there bars and reefs if you find Island lake by northome mn you can see just about every bar on the lake heres the web address www.paulbunyan.net click on infolink/paul buyon then click weather n news (top right) then click weather channel-bemidji first paragraph fourth line scroll down click on map and it will boot then you can look at close up pictures of lakes or your house and so on its pretty neat i use it lots on the bottom of the map there is radar clouds and radar click on the none and you wont be bothered by you are zoomed into far for radar pop up
If you want to check out satelite photography of your area just go to google and click on maps.
Put in your address and it will bring it up on the map. Then in the upper right hand corner click on satelite view. Its pretty cool, I use it on occasion to check out shore line areas if I am thinking about fishing somewhere new.
