Well she's been a tough one out there this year. I know I'm behind at least 50 eyes by now. Hit Round tonight from 8:30 to 10:15 and a mayfly hatch is in full bloom. The water looks like it has fur on it. We did manage to bag 4 small eyes and tossed them back.
Mallard and I went out Fri. night and got skunked. We hit Mille Lacs in the wind on Sat. and bagged a couple. My bud Rick hit the big pond today and caught a few nice ones in the middle 20" range.
Getting back to Sat. We had intended on running into MT & Jack ,but could not locate them so we fished Wahkon bay. We saw several tournement pros with their high buck boats. There skins were a sight to behold. They were struggling too so I did not feel all that bad. Most of the eyes were comming from 20-25 FOW. Here's my only one of the day.8 hours of getting pounded by the wind and waves. Mallard caught 1 too and if you add in the perch he caught ,he outfished me again. Rats!
Here's Bobberdown from last weekend on Big Sandy.
This guy was watching us the other day.
We stopped for a visit to see Web Dudes brother TapTapTap.
Here goes Mallard after I told him he was the man.
They were using UL gear off of the dock on BSL . Here's a friend of Kelly's with an average BS eye.
and yes there were no shortage of these guys swimming around honking.
I hope your days on the water are good ones.

Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
