This Loon cam is on the Minnesota Bound website.

The chicks could hatch anytime now. Also check out the Loon Log for updates and facts.

I think only one egg hatched. I just clicked on it and one of the parents and one chick were in the water (chick was in the water, not on the back, but next to the parent) and there is an unhatched egg in the nest. However, I don't think they have given up yet, about a minute later the other parent then came in and sat down on the unhatched egg.

Yes you have to look during the day, there is no light so at night the camera doesn't work.

Sure thing. Yes one hatched. I have seen the chick in the water and in the nest. The second egg is still there. The parents have come back from time to time and sat on it, but it hasn't hatched and it has been exposed to the elements quite a bit. The last few times I have clicked on it the parents were gone and the egg was just sitting there, uncovered and not hatched. I suspect they know that it is not going to hatch and have given up, but some parental instinct tells them to keep sitting on it when they see it. Oh well, one out of two isn't bad.

Well, its 7:15 EDT (6:15 for you in the Central Time Zone) on May 31 and one parent + the chick are back on the nest. I can't see the egg so either they are sitting on it or they pushed it away. We'll see what happens.
