what is your opinion on soft baits with the combination of injecting liquid scents.
last summer i came across a sample of fish magnet and the crappies couldn't get enough of it, accompanied with a small tube bait by power bait. now i cant seem to round up any more has any body came across this scent if so please post.
It is a must with my slab hunting, i ran several different presentations with and with out it. The crappies went for the scent more often then with out id say 2.5 to 1. I think maybe the oil in the sent may have slowed the decent when casting and when trolling kept it higher, maybe im crazy but i really think it has an effect on the bait.
One more thing what is a good split tail soft bait for walleye?

gotta catch them slabs...

CS,
This is the first year I have used soft plastics for crappies. I couldn't believe how much they loved it!! I've never used any injectable scents just plastics and I loved them. Why buy bait when plastics never die??

I've changed up my plastic fishing a little this year.. at least for the spring/early summer I've switched from Texas-rigging to using

and Mr Twister Grubs and 5 inch plastic worms on these jigs.. while I've caught a few small Bass, it's just an experiment for right now myself, because I like Texas-Rigs.

I searched on eBay for the scents mentioned and there's a few 'crawfish' scents listed under the stores sections but I didnt' see 'fish magnet'

On my lake of the woods trip i bought some soft plastic baits called zoom they were 4" baby bass pattern had good luck with them, went out on blackduck everone is pulling a lindy with a leach nothing else seems to be working well thats what the word is any way so i drove by the bait store cuz i had some frozen emrald shiners from L.O.T.W I wanted to try down here never had a bite with them so i thought i would try a zoom 4" baby bass and caught two 18 inchers and a sizzer bill(pike)witch STOLL MY BAIT HATE THAT WHEN THAT HAPPENS all in about 45 minutes. I had to go the lightening and rain was getting bad and chased me off so i dident get to try it more it works the action is fantastic iv rarely seen walleys inhale live bait in this way they inhale this plastic right to there gills its worth trying
I use the yum with it, i spray a bunch into the bag to scent the plastic bait it has produced nice fish for me in the little time i'v fished with it
