So what happened. The weather too nice? Last week we were getting many posts everyday, this week nothing! Must be everyone is outside working on their boats and getting ready for the opener. I know I am.
I'm here. Just got back from Orchard lake. Fish for a few hours with no luck. Water temps 48-51. Found some minnows in 2-4FT of water on the west side of the lake. The boat is ready for opener and she is running great. Sure was nice being on open water again.
Well, I'm still working on the boat. I actually got the old Johnson 35 to start last weekend. I'm replacing the impeller and fuel pump diaphragm this weekend. Hopefully, that will be all I have to do. Once that's done, I have to do my taxes next week. Maybe I can put the boat in the water next weekend.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
