I got some Ring-n Grubs from Hoggie at Catch-n and tried them for the 1st time tonight. After it was all said and done with there was 27 waypoint on my H2O for the eyes I marked.
They are not the big ones yet ,but the action was a blast.Add in bass and some pike and some perch and some rockies .Well we were busy.
Thanks Hoggie for a great product.

Good eaters for now.
I'm seeing the rains from the south approaching & the pressure is dropping. I'm hoping for the bigger ones to start getting more aggresive.

I wish,it's my buddy Wiltzy's boat.

It looks like we could have some rain ,but it sounds spotty at best.
That could be a good thing as the barometer will drop & the bite should get even better.

Detailed Local ForecastHow to Read This Today: A mix of clouds and sun with gusty winds. Warm. High near 80F. Winds SSW at 15 to 25 mph.
Tonight: Partial cloudiness early, with scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight. Low around 55F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy skies. Scattered thunderstorms during the morning. High 66F. Winds N at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 40%.
Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy skies. Low 38F. Winds E at 10 to 20 mph.
Sunday: Slight chance of a thunderstorm. Highs in the upper 50s and lows in the low 40s.

What kind of structure are you finding them on?

Do you think Hoggies Grub out produces a a traditional Twister Tail? The body looks like it would feel better to a fish when it bites, something better for them to sink their teeth into.

It would be interesting to do a side by side comparison between the Ring-n Grub and a Mr. Twister Twister tail, see if the improved body design of the grub really helps. I would think it would.

I'm not a believer in scents ,but those rings arew designed to hold scent.

I think the tails on the other brands go to heck quickly.I caught many fish & I'm still on the same body, so I think the quality is better.
I also like the softness of the body plus the profile is better in my opinion.

I'm finding them on the appex of the break.Right were the grasses start & the sand come together.
I find that transition areas are good spots to look for eyes.

I've never really use scents either.
I always think that the fish see the bait and just react to it quickly without a thought about what it smells like. And by the time it realizes the thing doesn't smell right or taste right you have it half way to the boat already.

Bait presented in a neutral/slow presentation is one thing, the fish has time to get a wiff of the bait. But when trolling or anything with a more aggressive presentation its a reflex action that makes them hit the bait and I doubt they have time to smell what your offering.

What ever floats your boat on scents or no scents.
I'm a firm believer that if you have confidence in your presentation ,you'll stay fishing longer which results in more fish being caught.
It's all about the numbers.More time in the water equalls better odds of catching fish.
It's funny how I can't catch fish when I do not have a line in the water.
