Pierre is the local expert but from what I remember this is why I purchased the Lakemaster. The lakemaster is a plug and play deal. You put the chip in and all the data is automatically loaded. You get enhanced roads and when you get to the lake its ready to go. The Navionics is not you have to find the lake you want then load it. How this is accomplished I am not sure but I bet Pierre does.

CK,

This is how to load the maps.

If it doesnt load your chip is not seated correctly.
(just beacuase I did the same thing)

Make sure you push the chip all the way up in the slot.

You have to select the correct region with the Navionics chip its in the map data category other wise you will just get the basic DNR mapping.

Lowrance is nearly impossible to get a hold of this time of year.

For future reference the Navionics chip is divided into 4 regions because of all the Lakes and different states involved.

You do that in expert mode by selecting menu, map data, map choice.

My old Navionics chip actually split in the middle of Mille Lacs so I had to change it sometimes right on the Lake, not sure if your New chip is the same.

I've done all that as soon as the chip was "properly inserted".
Thanks PB.
