Sunny, 65 degree air temp, light breeze

Spent a minimal amount of time on two different ponds today and had mix results between the two. The first pond is a walk into pond and I am still unable to get a bite out of this pond. I am fishing the side where the sun hits the longest for the day and the water just doesn’t seem to be warming that fast. There are a number of springs in this pond and that may contribute to the slow warming trend. I keep trying it a couple times a week and eventually they will come in and the fishing will get going there.... frown smiley

Left that pond and drove down the road to a neighboring pond to check if the boat landing was open yet. I was there last week and they still had the concrete blocks across with no access. The blocks were removed and the access is open for business, there was an angler launching his boat and I helped him for a while as he was unable to get the big motor started and opted to use the trolling motor to fish for the afternoon.... cool smiley

After work I stopped by a lake near my son’s preschool and have never tried this one in the spring. First cast out was a nice sunny, actually just about every cast produced a sunfish and these fish were on fire here. You could actually see their backs sticking out of the water and if you cast to one general area, the float didn’t even get a chance to stand up and the fish were on. No crappies were caught but one little bass was caught as well. I was using the Loby Baits Drag-n-Mag and actually a fish pulled most of the bait off towards the end and left one little leg, so I left that leg on there and the feeding frenzy kept right on. Was a lot of fun and after the fifteen minutes that I was there, I had caught around 30 fish by then and had to leave with a nice big smile on my face.... smile smiley

Kevin is an animal when it comes to fishing.
From the reports I've read I can tell he does a great job finding them & figuring out what they want.
