Lake Waconia is looking good right now. Lots of crappie and sunny action going on. Catching nice crappies on small spinners and minnows all over. Some real nice ones. A lot of talk going on that the walleyes might be real good out there this year. The bass always are! I can't wait until opener. It was really refreshing to see so many crappie fisherman out there getting into them and releasing them as well. I am very excited about this lake this year!
I will be on the Mississippi River pools 4 thru 7 this weekend for a bass tournament. I will give my report when I get back! Hopefully I will get into the hogs!
No bass season is not over yet. Although all over the Twin Cities the bass are already in there spawn modes in most lakes. Being an avid basser I always keep note on what stage the bass are in so I know where to start come May 26th. (Bass Opener for majority of MN)
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
