With today being day #3 or 4 after ice out on my lil lake. Rick & I are on our way tonight to look for some slabs in the spot that turns on 1st up here. I fired up the motor last night & ran her in a 50 gallon drum for awhile so that's good to go. My sticker on the boat is still good for this year, cool beans! My reels have all been swaped over. I'm syc'ed to try out my new Fenwick. Those poor fish are going to be scarred stiff as I even removed the beard. The sun has been doing a great job of warming up the water so I'm hoping the slabs moved from the big lake to the back lake they spawn in. I feel a disturbance in the force!

Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
