I know this horse has been beat to death on the two previous busts this year, and although I am glad for the penalty they got, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD--is there a reason that there are not more strict penalties imposed ? What about

1. A stiffer fine--say $1000.00 per fish over the limit.

2. The seizing of all equipment used in the violation. (this would include rods, reels, 4 wheelers, snow mobiles, augers, vehicles--whatever was used in the taking and transport of the illeagle catch.)

3.Loss of all fishing privledges--forever--PERIOD.

If the penalty were large enough, and the judgement quickly carried out, then this crap would stop. It burns me because they have robbed you, me, my kids, and our grandkids of precious natural resources that we could enjoy. They are thieves of the dreams and memories that will not happen becuase of their greed.

My 8 year old daughter and I landed 3 times the limit of sunnies allowed this past week. All but ten of those fish were released unharmed to fight another day. We did not break any laws and we released most of everything we caught so that we and you could have many successful trips in the future.

There is no reason to rape the God given resources we have , as these folks did, other than to say "I did it".

This inability to accurately asses the value of a creature is exactly what brought the buffalo to the verge of extinction, why the carrier pigeon is now extinct, and although these were panfish, the same attitude will do the same to walleye, bass, pike, musky, or trout.

What do ya Think,

Fisher

I agree with you Fisher. Seems a lot of these out-of-staters come here and take advantage of our resources, then get a slap on the wrist. I would ban them forever...

Amen brothers - these out-of-staters come in and pay bargain basement prices for MN angling liscenses and then abuse it...ever bought a fishing liscense in another state? better call your banker and get a loan.
