I was just looking to see some fishing tales.
What was the best one of last year for you?
Rick & I went out to a lake near by my hometown & caught over 40 walleys each.
By the time 2 a.m. rolled in I asked him,had enough yet dude?
Would ya know the storm hit as we drove away.Took almost a foot of hail in 15 minutes.Had we stayed we would have been black & blue from head to tail.

The best day I had recently I think it was last year maybe the year before but it was early june and we hit alot of walleye.

It was not really the number of them or the quality of them which were both good but it was the persistence we needed to catch them.

The day started very very slow for us. Lots of wind making it hard to fish a few hot spots so we tried a few new areas. Ended up catching a few eyes and a couple big perch and gills in a few spots but then the weather turned south.

We got chased of the lake occasionly becuase of monster down pours that were filling the boat faster then we could empty it, along with lightning and wind. So we holed up on a island and waited it out.

After the storms finally left we were left with a steady rain the rest of the day but we had the lake to ourselves and the wind had died down.

We really got paid off for being the only boat that was willing to wait out the storms. We started to nail the eyes one after the other for about an hour or two before we had to go. It has still going hot and heavy when we had to head in. A jig with a minnow dropped in 12 feet of water would never even hit the bottom on the first drop beofre a walleye would hit it. All the fish were in that nice 16-20 inch range with an occasional 20-22 thrown in for flavor.

Between two of us we kept 8 fish for dinner and let the others go, but it was a great pay off for enduring some miserable weather.

I'm going to have to say the day out on the river with PB and GrrBrr, for Variety and Quantity. That was the day I caught the giant Sheeppee, I think it was about 23lbs.

I would have to say the best day I had fishing last year was When I took my two oldest grand dayghters out 5 and 4 We would fish a little and then they wanted to go fast they thought my 6 horse motor was fast and when they wanted to fish we would fish and go fast all day . It was all about the girls and making them happy as their home life is not very good where they have to live. I just hope We can go back out again this year and do what they want. oh by the way we caught enough sunnies for a meal they love to eat fish especially the ones I cook for them smile smiley smile smiley smile smiley catch you on the flip side

This last year there were so many great days on the water!!
I fish multi species as many do.Ihad days with over a hundred crappies caught as well as days like that on nice sized bluegills.(on the mighty old miss no less)This winter some late season northern action on mille lacs was just a hoot! Also started doing some deep water cranking (a first for me on walleyes)within 3 minutes had my first one at 24 inches. But the best day must have been the day i ran across this site!Met some really awsome people that have the passion for fishing the is exceptional....Thanks for all the dedication!!

Wow. Thats a tough one.

It may have to be the day we found the crappies on our local lake. Sara and I had our oldest (9 at the time)boy Cody with us. This was right after Keith had turnd me on to T.H.E. Jig last spring. Not so much that I was catching nice fish, but Sara caught her biggest crappie at 13"

and Cody caught a 10" gill!!

OR...It would have to be the day Keith had me up for T.H.E. Jig system clinic. OR...lol....it would be last Saturday when I landed my 14" crappie and LOADS of other nice slabs...Again, you guessed it, with Keith on T.H.E. Jig

Either wy, it was ALL memorable! And looking forward to another GREAT year!!!
