Statement as of 1:31 PM CDT on April 02, 2007


... Winter Storm Watch in effect from midnight CDT tonight through
Tuesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a Winter Storm Watch... which is in effect from midnight CDT
tonight through Tuesday afternoon.

Snow is expected to develop in the Alexandria... Morris and
Glenwood areas around midnight Tuesday and spread east to Milaca
and St. Cloud during the night. The snow will continue through a
good part of Tuesday. The snow late tonight through early Tuesday
afternoon may be heavy at times with accumulations of 6 inches or
more possible.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel. This
includes along I-94. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.


Statement as of 10:18 AM CDT on April 02, 2007


The Flood Warning continues for
the Long Prairie river at Long Prairie
* from this afternoon until Saturday morning.
* At 10 am Monday the stage was 5.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage this afternoon and continue
to rise to near 7.0 feet by Wednesday morning. The river will fall
below flood stage by Saturday morning.
* At 7.0 feet... 1st Avenue SW is innundated.


This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.8 feet on June 26 2003.

i can remember about 12 years ago we had 5'' of snow on the 15 of may..
so this is nothing..
HAY IT'S MINNESOTA ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN..
