That is getting up there. Maybe get one as a backup in case you do need it. Better to be safe than sorry. Batteries vary so much. Some won't give you what you have gotten and some will give you a lot more. I usually allow the battery to tell me. Chances are if you are wondering than you are getting close to needing new ones.
Yeah it's a transom mount. I definitely put on 2 or 3 times the hours on the trolling motor than the Yamaha 2-stroke. I was looking hard at a new rig this spring but I think I'll wait until at least the end of the season before I pull the trigger.
