I have a question for you folks. On the homepage and also on the forums page, I have a list of the latest 10 or 20 posts. On those tables, I have "Started By" and then a list of who started the post.

Like ThisEtc.

Instead of having "Started By," would it make more sense to list the last user to post in that topic? I was just wondering cause I was looking at it and I had to go through some topics to see if there had been any responses. Might make more sense to have the last user in there instead of the user who started the topic.

Whatdaya think?

I think keeping "Started By" is the way to go, if you could add the "last post" I would be in favor of that also.

I would also like to change the New Red color for members browsing forums something about that doesn't seem right to me.

My 2 Cents!

I like it the way it is. It would be nice if it said who was the last to post. Either way it works well.

The problem is space. I designed the site to fit on a 15 inch monitor. I could go double lined on the returns. That way I could fit more info on each topic.

As for the red, I changed that because I still get emails on how to change passwords, go to the chatroom, logoff. I guess I got sick of answering these questions. I made it red so people could see those links better. Is it the color of red that bugs you? I was trying to keep it a not-so-in-your-face red smile smiley

Anything is possible wink smiley

If you want last post time and date along with the last user, I would have to make all topics double lined.

How about it folks? Should I do that? Remember that this is your site....

And yes... people still own 15" monitors. 778 pixels wide is a standard for sites that I have used for several years. Less complaints that way smile smiley
