Decided I was going to try something... might be a way for all of us to get to know each other a bit better. Might be stupid, but who cares. Besides, I just noticed that this post will trip the total posts counter to 33,000. I never thought it would get this far smile smiley

Any way, let's play true or false. Very simple rules. We tell a story and we see if we can guess whether it is true or false. Someone here can tell a story and the rest of us will chime in on our thoughts. I guess since I am starting this thread, I will have to tell the first one. After a few days, I will tell you whether it is true or false. You people out there who know me personally might want to keep your mouth shut. Anyone can comment or tell their own story. Might be fun... might piddle into neverland too... who knows?!?! ooo smiley

When I was 9 years old, I went fishing with my grampa on the Mississippi around the St. Cloud area. He and my gramma were getting kind of old and they lived in sort of like an old age retirement apartment complex. He used to like fishing a lot and he kept a small boat with a 10 horse Johnson on a friends property. He liked to get out when he could. Sometimes, I was able to go with him.

Anyway... We were out fishing and following the current down the river. I don't even remember what bait we were using, he always used to set me up, when I felt a big bump on the bottom of the boat. I looked down and saw something really big. I mean REALLY big. It rolled aorund and bumped the boat again and it actually pushed us faster down the river a bit. Grampa got all excited and tried to snag it. Finally, he grabbed a grappling hook he had and managed to hook it into the gill of this big fish. The thing was flopping all over the place. He had me help him drag it into the boat. I had never seen a fish like it. Grampa said it was a sturgeon. We made a bee-line for the shore and he threw it in his trunk. When we got home, he carried it up to the apartment and threw it on a scale. Holy Cow!!!! It weighed 86 lbs. It was a monster!!!!

Anyway... that's the way I remember it!

True or False?
