Garfield Lake is a small shallow lake at Laporte, MN. Great little family fishing lake -- been getting out this past week and with out any doubt the Northerns are hitting around Noon to 2 pm -- not much action before and none after. Bass are stealing their share of bait and a few are hitting pretty good. Panfish are moving in around 3 or 4 pm --not big but lots of them. A few Crappie are showing up but they seem to be far and few between. Have not seen much or heard much on the Walleye -- but a few are showing up around sundown.
Hope you all are getting out and enjoying this time of year and the hard water fishing being offered.

All the romance of trout fishing exists in the mind of the angler and is in no way shared by the fish. ~ Harold F. Blaisdell, The Philosophical Fisherman, 1969
