Okay folks. I need to change the image policy a bit. I came to this conclusion after an hour of changing 23 jpgs to 72 dpi at a height or width of 480 pixels maximum, creating the thumbnail at 72 dpi at a height or width of 108 pixels, converting all the jpgs to gif files and then uploading to the server and adding to the database.
Instead of a 10 shots of the same guy holding up a different crappie, I think I am going to just pick out pics that are different. Different people, different fish, location, etc. Please don't get me wrong, I really appreciate all the great shots everyone is sending me. But to get all the pics in the database requires a lot of work on my part because nobody ever sends them the way I need them.
To boil this down, I am going to start being a bit more selective on the images. I don't think anybody wants to scroll through 10 or 20 shots of the same guy holding up a crappie or whatever.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
