Cloudy skies and rain
48 degrees air temp
32-38 water temp
Calm no wind slight breeze

One last voyage out in the kayak and I was very well rewarded once again. Can't get enough of the panfish action and the bite is continuing on right where I had left off from the day before.

Decided to try a few different areas of the pond today and by doing this I was able to get into the sunnies very well. The main area that I have been fishing there weren't hardly any sunnies there but these new areas were loaded with them.

Of course with the rain that was happening the photo taking was limit but that is O.K. Most of the fish were suspended and without any wind today made fishing much simplier. Wasn't moving around as much as I usually do and there were many times that I would catch multiple fish one after the other.

Fishing was a lot tougher today as opposed to yesterday. Yesterday the fish were on fire and I was able to use many types of different baits to see the difference in sizes that were caught. Today the fish were there but much more finicky on the bite and the bite was very light that the spring bobber barely moved at all.

The baits that were used today were 3 varieties of Loby Baits which were the Rocki, Drag-n-Mag and Maki. The Maki did the most damage for the Loby Baits presentation as with the lite bites the small size of the Maki made that the better bait for the day.

The final bait that truely shined today with the tough bite and needing a small precise presentation was T.H.E. Jig. The Totally Hot Everyday Jig was on fire today. T.H.E. Jig truely shined and put numbers of good sized slabs and gills in the boat. The lift presentation proved its value today and the fish would come screaming up and stop and look at it and then by moving it up a little they would grab it. By the end of the day I caught 76 slabs and gills.

Even with the rain in the morning and the overcast skies, the warm temps, I have been really enjoying this late season open water fishing. I have a feeling that this week this type of fishing will be over and will be time to get on the hard water.... cool smiley

I have got to say Kevin ,what a great day you had.76 fish on a finicky day. Most guy's with a minnow would have had a tough time getting anything & you are out there ripping lips.
Fishing 2 days in a row with different conditions let you see the value in different presentations.
Most baits will work when the fish want to feed ,but on those tough days T.H.E. jig really shines as you've said.
Thanks for the great story.

Thanks again Kevin. You really make me feel good & that's huge after all of the work I have done trying to get the word out.
For so long it has been like talking to deaf ears.I've literally had to 1 guy at a time take them out to prove what I'm saying. Now sales have really picked up & I must thank you as you have tried them with the info from my posts& you are seeing the difference they make.

I'm so happy to see that you've mastered them.
Keep ripping lips Kevin.
