I don't post too much here, but I thought you all might want to know. I was out on Mille Lacs this past weekend. Ice appeared to be 12-14". I fished primarily south and east. I puched holes and tried fishing various depths and locations. I saw a bunch of trucks out further then I was and I even saw a 1 ton cruising by out around 3 Mile. Not sure I would do that. The ice is looking pretty good and consistant right now. Fishing was so-so. Kept 3 walleyes that were good eating size. A bud of mine caught a 26" that we put back. There are folks out on the ice. I think with this cold snap, things are looking good.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
