Where to start? None of these fish were caught on meat.Everyone came from the jig& I do not reacll a slab or gill comming from any meat what so ever.
I met up with PB,SB & brother,Aaron. My friend Rick & I showed up a tad late ,errrrrg! I also had Shawn & a few of his buddies from In Depth Angeling show up too. There were about a dozen guys there, some had T.H.E.Jig & other gravitated to the jig once they saw that the meat they had was way too big for the finnicky fish.
BobberDown tagged the first one,I got the second. I was busy setting every one up ,drilling holes .You know the drill, anyway I sold about 75 jigs to the boyz as the other that did not have it ,came to it.
I know we made believers outta them IDA boyz.
thanks for comming up & giving it a try. Too bad sunday was a washout ,literally. Way to much rain. She froze up today pretty good & we have another 6 inches of snow after the rain.
Well heres the pics and 2 videos. Enjoy!

This is Jim,he had his 6" hand auger .
Had he brought his 8" power auger the monster 17" would not have lodged in the hole & broke off,but he did land a few nice slabs on the jig.I taught him how to use it last year & now it's all he uses as he has witnessed the damage it can & will do.

It's all true, I was there smile smiley! Fishing was slow,, but the only people catching anything, were those using "the jig". It was pretty funny to see some guys coming up after seeing us catch fish and ask. So, what's this jig I keep hearing about??? I would just point to CK and there goes another happy customer! I strongly recomend it if you're planning on going for any pan fish. You can't beet it, and you don't have to change the water! laugh smiley

How thick is the ice on BSL? Periodic up dates would be nice the way this weather has been. Doesn't look like trucks are out yet.

At least 2 friends and I are planning on a trip on 1/12 - 1/15, long weekend and the U is closed for MLK day. Have talked to a 3rd bud but he is unsure. If he comes, he may bring his Ultra Shack. We could use the stove to make some lunches. Will be calling a 4th later today.

CK, did Tjsey put the 12x12 on BSL yet or did he 86 the idea? I will be talking to him on a dropdown shack. My bud Tom said that Hilltop treated him right with some rework of his Ultra, even correcting problems the OM made in the original setup of his shack. He recommends them if looking for new.

I would say there was about 10-12 good inches of ice! I was betting we would see a truck on the lake by the end of the day, but it didn't happen.

Thanks Dude & BD for the testimonial.
BSL is one of the toughest lakes I fish,so if you can snag a few there you can anywhere with the jig.I had a blast with you boyz as usual.
Carps,Dave has not set his house yet, doubt he will.
