I don't 100% agree with the list.. since Rapala is listed 3rd. Rapala isn't a lure, it's the company. Who compiled the list anyway?|
It's a little strange that Rapala is listed as 3rd and then Rapala Shad Rap is 29th. Does that mean that #3 means the floating lure?
There are at minimum 5 Rapala lures I make sure I have, when I have the money to buy them.
Have to have a couple tail dancers, they catch fish besides Walleye.
The original floater still works wonder, especially with Doug Stange's tip of pinching the eye and pulling it down a little for more dance.
Same with the Husky Jerk lures. The glass version with the ball bearings inside I purchased last year, but really didn't experiment with that much.
The X-rap that debuted 2 years ago I have 3 colors in 2 sizes as well
Last year for the first time I started using the Shad Rap lures, especially the shallow divers because of the low water levels.
A few Rapala lures I could do without, especially the Jointed versions.. I've never managed to make them work to catch fish.(haven't tried them on flourocarbon line yet though.. maybe that's the clue?)
Even a BAD day of fishing is better than a good day of work; paydays excluded!
