Michael Thompson & his buddy Jack drove up this morning & we went to BSL for some slabs, however the low moved out & they got finicky. I caught 6 with only 1 3/4 lb.to keep. Michael caught a nice gill.Jack got skunked & it was because he could not read his Marcum. We went home to get my extra Vexilar & headed for Waukenabo. There we peeled off a good 200 crappies. We culled our 30 & left for a couple 12" house pizzas from a local tavern that makes them. We all had a blast & T.H.E. Jig drilled them . We had a good chuckle when this guy comes over trying to give away his minnows to us. I've got to say those 2 guy's really new how to fish & getting them to use my jig was easy as pie. I think Michael will post his testimonial when he gets back. Those 2 would switch to other baits only to see that the crappies did not want anything else and back to the jig they went. Here are some pics and videos of the day. I'll post a few now & more later.
Here is a new fisherman in the making... We started at Bill Horn and with the pressure rising it was tough, not to mention Jack's Marcum could not read my jig so with all of his power turned up there was too much interference. We left, but I managed to snake this one for the bucket. Michael got this gill too. Here's a plug..
I don't.I have other guy to concider Dan. Who cares if i can catch them,if the other guys want to go to other lakes,so be it.The pressure was high & they had tight lips so we bailed for a different type of lake. We pounded the crappies, but the size is not there like BSL can put out.
