Prop, trailer, live well water, bait bucket water trolling motor, anything that touches the water.

Just pick ALL the weeds off the boat and empty the live well and bait well or bucket and you did your job.

its where you put the fish you catch. Its a box in the boat that holds water that will keep your fish alive. It pumps in water from the lake to circulate the water. That is why it needs to be drained when you leave the lake.

Are there any boxes/containers/etc. where you keep live bait, fish, etc. with water you pull from the lake? If so you need to empty/drain those. If not then you are OK. Some boats have them built in, even small boats. My bro-in-law has a 16' aluminum boat and it has a small one.

yeah, if you don't have one then don't empty it. It is pretty simple to get rid of ivasive speices from your boat. Just get rid of all weeds and your done.

It could be anything that has water in it, though. If your boat takes on any water from waves, has a (small) leak, etc. you have to make sure you get all the water out.

Obviously, if you ain't got one, you don't have to empty it. smile smiley

I didn't get the boat out the last 2 years (low st. louis river water levels.. and no depth finder/sonar)... but when I would get it out on water.. I'd take the garden hose to it after I got home besides pulling the cork (14 ft Lund from 1972).
