Greetings one and all -- went to Pensacola five years ago for a visit with my two sons, who go to college there, and spent the next five years enjoying "florida icefishing" and the wonderful out of doors in that area. Great place to visit or to live -- by the way. Now my wife and I are back in the Bemidji area closer to family. Spent a great summer getting adjusted and getting ready for winter -- YA RIGHT !! Love hard water fishing !! Bemidji Lake just got it's first people on in the last day or two and many of the smaller lakes in the area are filling up fast !! Just getting some snow and seems like lots of cold weather yet to put on ice !! By the way - -caught the biggest fish of my life this summer !! A 51 inch -- 36 pound Muskie !! What a thrill and what a SHORT - but great fight !! Sadly is swollowed the lure big time and tore out some gill plates so had to keep it for mounting. Hope to meet lots of new "Pals" here and get aquainted -- thanks for a great site to be in !!
If people concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing rods. Doug Larson
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
