Sorry, but I've been away. My wife had surgery on Friday. She is doing awesome.

As for the fishing...No big bass, a few small, but I landed a 41" Northern, so it wasn't a complete waste. No leader too. Just heavy Power Pro line. He trashed my new spinnerbait though. But it was worth it!

Of Course. My fishing partner corrected me. It was 40". Don't have a scale but I'd guess it was around 20 lbs. Looked like it had a full stomach. C&R. There are some real big ones here too. Just need to land them. The current Iowa record for Northern Pike is 25 lb. 5 oz. 45" 2/1/77 on West Okoboji Lake but I plan on beating it. Maybe I'll hook a big one in Minnesota and troll into Iowa before landing it... laugh smiley
