NOPER,
I never did that either. We either played floor hockey in the driveway or capture the flag in the neighbors yards!

The closest I ever came to RPG's was/is online TEXT games called MUDS. They are "Multi-User Dungeons" where you create a character and go around a textual world.

There's quests and stuff like that.. but you also need to know what Telnet(a text based internet, basically how the Internet started.)

Growing up, friends dad actually made us hockey nets for driveway hockey..and we'd play every afternoon in winter after school (tar driveway, wasn't fun if it was dry with no snow cover.) He plowed the driveway perfect where the snow stayed packed for us rather than melted from the sun when there was some. It was a great thing in the winter, though between that and playing basketball the last 14 years I think my knees hate me smile smiley

SN,
That's pretty funny! I think we played everyday after school too, and I think the game ended just about everyday with one of us younger kids getting hit by a slap shot with a frozen tennis ball!

In the 6 or 7 or whatever years of playing.. as we called it 'boot hockey' I never did take one in the face.. not even while playing the 'goal tender'. I think EVERYONE took it somewhere ELSE though at least once a winter, hence the reason *I* think it's called goal "tender."
