I'm taking my Dad to Cabelas. He needs some good winter boots ,so I'll be pushing the LaCross Extremes.
I'll be looking at electronics.GPS with topo maps of lakes.Tap had one last year that turned my crank,so cool.A new fl locator too.I'll see what they have for ice fishing rods & reels & line.I know they have jigs that are painted too, which save me 8 hours per 100.I need some tails, thread & glue.
Then there are the fish tanks & mounts to marvel at.
I wonder if they have a bargin basement to rummage through? It is a day I'll not hunt ,but a guy needs gear or should I just say screw it & go to Mexico & look for SandBurr?

Hey CK--

I'm one of those guys who tries to find a Win/Win for everyone involved -- if possible. So this is just a thought, but hey, why not go to Mexico to catch SB, take a boat out a nail a bill fish, a dolphin, and some spanish macks--then you can go look for a Cabelas on the beach somewhere--you never know!

I actualy did hear that Bass Pro Shop may be doing a Mexico outlet--so there you have it! I trip to the outfitter store south of the border. Throw in those fish mentioned above and it has the makings of a way cool road trip!

Oh yeah---have a good time. Toby Keith says, "What happens in Mexico-- stays in Mexico".

Adios,

The Fisher

Well you 2 would make a good couple in the boat. I assume you like country quoting Toby Keith.Myself being a rocker,I'll quote Ted Nugent
I'm locked cocked & ready to rock & if anyone want to get get mellow you can turn around & get the flock out of here.

Not really a country music guy. Seems we had this on another thread. More of a "Classic Rock" kinda thing. Just that the Toby Keith quote seemed appropriate for the occasion. Am a bit of a Nugent fan as well--Kansas--ZZ Top, Allman Brothers, Skynyrd, Blackfoot, Stones, Boston, Toto , that general neck of the woods---but am willing to give pretty much anything a listen once. Lot's of stuff only gets listened to once though!

Anyway--only Mexico song I could come up with on the fly.

Vaya Con Dios,

I love all of those bands & yes we went here once in a prior thread.Sorry to mix you in with all of the other goat ropers.

I grew up on J.Cash & T.Wynette cause thats what my old man listened to.
I miss those old bands .Robin Trower /Bridge of Sighs ,Jeff Beck /Led Boots, anything by Zappa .He was a wierd one but very talented.Yes /Fragile ,Foghat/Fool for the city ,Bad Co./Straight shooter,Pink Floyd/Animals,Uriah Heep/Sunrise although Sweet Lorain was my favorite, everything from AC/DC.

How to segway back to the original topic,I'm screwed!!!No fishing this weekend & I had wanted to get out 1 last time before deer opens.
which you should have seen the scrapes I found. smile smiley smile smiley

CK---you have mail.

Ahh yes--the rut has arrived. Nothing like seeing a big guy rub a trees bark bare with his head, paw a big hole in the ground, chew limbs off, and wet down his leg to get the juices going. It gets the deer jazzed a little too!

Looking for it to be a good year.
