Did anyone hear this story about the man and his boy that capsized their cannoe on Sunday?

BSL

It's a sad sad story, and it's a good reminder to wear your PFD, especially when the water gets this cold!

It is a sad thing for sure.
I've flipped canoes & have gotten into them full.Bailed out & floated again.I've also had to get on top of it after it was rolled over. 55 degrees is cold ,but I think the dad was not a canoeist. He'd have saved their lives. They did have their pdf's on. It just goes to show us that we need to be aware of how to get out of trouble once we get into trouble.
