Many of you know I put on a local youth fishing program where we teach the kids some basic species info, fishing tech, safety, etc. I also supply the kids with fish charts, rods, reels, lures, tackle box, first aid kits, etc. To continue to do this, I from time to time do various fundraisers. Right now, I have an Ebay auction running for Mississippi River Guide Service, Pool 8 & 9. All proceeds from the auction go directly to purchase youth fishing gear and supplies. Please help spread the word or place a bid to help out the cause. It is good through October 1, 2007 and covers everything but license. Thanks!

Here is the link. EBAY AUCTION

Fishing Tree eBay Auction a little easier until a moderator hotlinks your link to it.

Even a BAD day of fishing is better than a good day of work; paydays excluded!

How about we all donate some thing to you? We all could give some thing. You'd have so much stuff you wouldn't know what to do with it all. smile smiley

I'd be game for that as long as I have enough of the same item to give to each kid. Example, if I have 10 kids graduate, I try to give 10 identical rods, reals, tackle boxes, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, rat-l-traps, frog, bag of plastic worms, hat, patch, etc. That way they are all happy and no one feels shorted. The item I really want is a decent pontoon so I can take kids and a few volunteers out together. Anyone giving one away???? smile smiley

Well mabe you could pick a lure or rod and reel combo post it here, and tell us how many you have and how many more you need. That way we all know what your looking for.

We may have a pontoon here at the shop you can have.Bill is supposed to get up here to move it away ,but he may not have a home for it.It would need some decking and paint ,but free is free.

I've got the rods and reels pretty well taken care of. I think I have around 80 Shakespeare Combos thanks to a great deal from Shakespeare. I won't be having any new classes until April 07 when I have some trout classes.

SF, If I find a free New Bass Boat, I'll let you know...after I break it in of course and make sure the bugs are all worked out...let's say one fishing season should take care of it.

CK, let me know what happens with that pontoon. I have a few letters and promo packets out right now to some boat makers, but if they fail, I would likely be interested.

Does the pontoon have a motor?

We have one also. it doesn't have a motor or seats. Just a deck with a railing around it and a stearing wheel. I'll ask and see if we can give it away.
