I go up and pack the camper and boat away this weekend! I will take a few victory laps around Big Sandy with the boat. I will toast a cold one at a few resorts. I will see you when the ice comes.
I have pulled the bow out, polished the shotguns and put a roud or two through the rifles. Its time for mamals my friends. My oldest (13) has already had a doe blow at him from the bow stand and "turtle boy" has acompanied my in the ground blind. We watched deer and played the game boy! WOW never thought I would do that but he had fun! Stay tuned for reports.
Maybe I will hit round Saturday night with PB & BD. I will see if I can still find one of those "slassy shabs" in my tackle box!
Sad to see summer go,not hardly.I can't wish it away fast enough. When fall comes ,so does the cooler air.I hate to work in the heat.My fishing success increases with the cooler air.Plus it's hunting season then ice fishing. The only thing sun does for me is a tan & who needs that. My dog works better when it's cooler out too. It would be nice to get us out on round.I miss the SandBurr& if you get time ,build me a crappie rod or I'll be forced to buy a Loomis.
