Used frog lures are generally worthless.. they are usually soft plastic and after a day/night of catching fish they're beaten up to the point where its' time to replace them. On a day when I'm catching fish with them, I'll use 2 or maybe all 3 of the Realistix kicker frogs in the package.

what time of year did you try the frogs though? Right now is the right time, though Scumfrog would drop them through the ice and catch something I think.

Hello.... frogs work all year in just about any lake. I know this cause I use them all summer. Bass, pike and muskies see frogs as a good filler meal. They know frogs are easy to eat. So even in open water in the middle of the lake I've used and caught bass and pike on frogs.

smile smileyI love frog lures...Just my opinion, the Spro Frog, midnight color is one of the better frogs out there. I'm also a fan of Scum Frogs, and have been for years. I always carry some quick dry waterproof clear caulk with me to make fast repairs to frogs if they get damaged. I'm currently designing a line of lures, to include a new frog that will be very weedless, and very ready to hook big bass. I just need to find a company to pick up the designs.
