I don't think you read your own posts! You posted the following as the Kentucky state record under YOUR POST of state records..
Muskellunge 44.38 lbs. Scott A. Flatt
Lexington, KY Cave Run Lake 05/09/98
By the way--Cave Run Lake is a PRIMO muskie lake. This is especially true early and late in the year. You can go South and get in a good muskie trip with a good chance of nailing a big fish for almost the entire year. Adds several months to the season for guys in more northern climes.
The muskie pics are not giant fish--mid 40 inchers. However, the first 2 pics were caught with about 14 inch long live suckers. Fish there are from Wisconsin and LOTW.
Practice catch and release on all muskies--a really good fishery only has 1 adult fish per acre so it is a very fragile fishery and killing even a few can cause a large impact. Remember to let them go back over shallow water. Often they have to go settle a little while before giving lot's of effort after a fight with an angler.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
