Whats the largest size you tie? I am wondering how a large size may work on walleye. I have seen jigs in the 1/4-3/8 oz with hair tied on but they never seem very good looking.

I go up to a 1/16th oz.For ice fishing a 32nd works very well. I pour my own glow worm that rips eyes like nobodies business. I thread up a few and post them.I need to pour another 1500 bodies too.So much to do & so little time with hunting season here.Drag racing ate up 3 weeks already, need to get busy.

you bet I do Ryanc,I took awhile to learn how ,but now I got it down.
I do not buy minnows anymore because of them.
It's a great time killer, plus I can downsize when the crappies get finicki.Minnows only come so small& I can get smaller.

Cabelas has everything.
You'll need a jig vice/10$
jigs can be bought already painted for 20$ a 100
calftail/kiptail 3$each
thread 1.50$ per spool
flexament glue 4$ a bottle
razor blades
It took me a year & over a thousand jigs to get them good looking not that the fish care.
I find that cabelas went away from lead so the heads have gotten to big,so I do my own. Jannsnetcraft also sells them only you have to paint them witch is a hole other can of worms.Paint,thinner.It is not as easy as you might think.

You need a melting pot $55
A quart of plastisol $11
I make my own mold from aluminum stock.
Colorant, glitter & glow powder prices vary.
Most of it all comes down to time.
