Last night I picked up a wild turkey that was hit by a car. It was still warm and very big. I'd say around 25 pounds. Talked to the dnr and they said I can keep it to have it mounted. The only thing wrong is it has a broken neck and some feathers are missing off the chest.
So does any one know were I can get it stuffed that's not going to cost me arm and a leg?

Hard Ice, Why can't you put it in a plastic bag? I've heard this also and don't know why. I've also heard that if you wrap it in paper it dries it out. What gives, I've already froze it in a bag.

Perfectly okay with me. In fact, I have a spot for taxidermy in my directory. If he would like to be put in there permanently, have him fill out the "add to directory form." It is located here.
I saw more wild turkeys bow hunting this year than all the other years I have hunted combined! I am trying to wiggle turky permission from the landowner. He is a big nird nut and likes to hunt them himself. He doesn't mind us taking deer but I have to be careful when it comes to the birds!
