Well guy’s it’s funny how things turn out. I am heading out Wed. night for the NHRA U.S .Nationals at Indy. My son who is going into the U.S. Marines in 15 days & is a virgin to racing, is coming with. He is going to be a mechanic & someday maybe work on the NASCAR or NHRA cars. He lit up when I told him & it will be a memory of a lifetime for the both of us.
To top it off this am .a heating contractor called for info on our furnaces. When he gave me the address, which was in Indiana. I said I’ll be at Indy for the races. He said I was a crew chief for pro bikes & that I was to call so he could guide us to John Force’s garage& Cory McClenathan ,Cruise Pedregon not to mention some others. Wow, God works in mysterious ways.
I’ll be getting a digital camera on the way down so between thurs.-mon. I’ll have an opportunity to see everybody & I do believe Force’s girls will be there to.

Start your engines! Driving Force, the new high-speed real-life series from A&E Network®, starring racing legend John Force and his three drag racing daughters, premieres on Monday, July 17, 2006 at 9PM EST and PST / 8PM CST.

Like golf's Tiger Woods and basketball's Michael Jordan, John Force is easily the most accomplished and dominant figure in his sport - drag racing. With 119 career victories, an unprecedented 14 team championships in 16 years, membership on ten straight Auto Racing All-American teams, and the world record for consecutive Funny Car championships, Force has shattered every major record on the drag strip and then some. In addition to his legendary racing feats, Force has exhibited extraordinary skill as a team owner and businessman, raising himself up from poverty to become the head of his own multi-million dollar company that currently employs over 60 race team members and office staff. Force is also one of the most outrageous personalities in the history of American sports, combining the dangerous charisma and charm of Gary Busey and Elvis with the down-home likeability of Andy Griffith.

But here's the real hook of the show: John is also the father of four beautiful daughters: 36-year-old Adria (from a previous marriage); 23-year-old Ashley; 19-year-old Brittany; and 17-year-old Courtney. While Adria (Force) Hight has managed the finances for John Force Racing corporate headquarters since she was 20 years old, the other three Force girls are now following in their father's tracks, competing in the male-dominated field of high-speed drag racing. Ashley has already proven herself to be an accomplished driver, having been named Rookie of the Year in her car class. She's also one of the only professional athletes to have her own Barbie Doll and Hot Wheels die cast car.

Despite being a championship drag racing team on the track, the Forces have plenty of issues on the home front. John's career kept him on the road for most of the girls' childhoods, leaving parental responsibilities mainly in the hands of his wife Laurie. Although at the outset she was directly involved in her husband's career, writing contracts, mixing fuel and even packing the parachutes that slowed the car from its breakneck speeds, Laurie believed it was important to provide the couple's children with a more traditional upbringing. So, once they started a family, she and the girls stayed home, went to cheerleading tryouts, took dancing lessons, interacted with pet dogs and cats, went to the gym and shopped. When John was home, it was difficult for him to make the transition to doing the usual things that families do. When he finally looked up, the kids were almost grown. He had missed all the recitals, the picnics, the tryouts, the ball games and the proms. But now, John hopes that by bringing the girls into his profession, he can bring the family closer together and become the kind of father that he always wanted to be. Racing is the backdrop for this true-life comedy as each half-hour episode takes a look at dad trying to bring the family together, while also preparing for the next championship run. It's 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter meets the bone-rattling thrills of the drag strip. Gentleman and ladies - start your engines.

So Bobber Down I’ll go for a 25$ t-shirt from Castrol GTX & the families autographs just for you.

The marathon also hosts two high-dollar bonus events, the $100,000-to-win Skoal Showdown for Funny Cars and the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle, which pays $25,000 to the winning Pro Stock Motorcycle rider.

How to Get There: The track is one mile west of Clermont on Highway 136. From Indianapolis, take Interstate 465 to Highway 136 (Crawfordsville Road). Go west toward and through Clermont. The main entrance is on the south side of the road, one mile past Clermont.

Well I got Ashley to sign. I got a XX for you with it ain't over till we say it's over with John's pic on it.The front say's 13 time champ with 2 wrenches crossing. The other 2 girls were not there. It was a busy week for them & getting some signatures was tough. I paid 25$ for the shirt, & if you want it now you can have it. Get it back to me or you can go to BIR for more autographs next year.I'm going to BIR then 2 weeks later the BIG GO @ Indy..O'Rielly Mac tools 53rd U.S. Nationals. What a blast,I got the H.P.camera & filled the 54 meg stick or what ever size it was with about 285 pics. I also got a 1gig stick that has 300 more on it. I would say that once I get them downloaded I should have some good pics.
I did get A pic with Ashley Force,The King Kenny Bernstien & his boy Brandon. Some video too of Kenny. I said we love you at the zoo in@BIR and while signing he jerked his head & gave me a big thumbs up. I also got the generals autograph(Tim Richards) who is the crew chief for B.Bernstein. I had to go there 4 days straight & actully got a little forward. He does not do this much, but with my new crew shirt & jacket he consented. You can tell I'm a Bud man. The only one with that combo at the track all week.I got Max Naylor with Jagermeister .When I said my boy was going into the Marines in 8 days he DRAGGED us into the pit.Oh my Lord, that never happens. Then with the crew scattered he yelled & ordered them all for a line up with us on each side of him and the crew to fill outr the line.Ya, I was floating. I also bought a limited edition hat ,307 out of 1700.
I got Jason line's pic and autograph, his boss too Greg Anderson,Erica Enders from the Slammers team, our local hero John Haley who drives a top fuel alchol dragster. He just put in a new bullet(motor0& threw 3 rods which resulted in a valve cover full of shredded pistons.I got Tony Pedregon, missed Cruze though.Jimmy Johnson's Skoal team. Man the list still goes on ,but running on 3 hours of sleep since sun. I'll have to add more as it comes to me.
My son had a blast & loved it when they burpped the nitro cars. It goes like this pippippippipipi, then they give it the full fuel which makes the car sound like it will die going in a much lower pitch blubblubblub then they smash the peddel quick getting a very loud ROP. Even folks in the stands 100 yards away jump.
My boy just stepped into the rope as all the other fade away quickly plugging his ears. With the tears flowing & the nose profusly running he stepps back satisfied with a true NITRO BUZZ. He is now in the NMA. Nitro methane Army. That's ma boy!!!! Noy after the military & the mechanice training he wants to join a nitro crew. I done hooked him.
He started out with 7 bucks change & got through 4 days of betting. He came out 30 to the good plus he got his own food from the winnings.
I guess he pays attention to the old man after all.
He noticed which lane was the best & he picked cars with bigger sponsers. He even had a Colered gal fronNew Orleans give him a Top Eliminators club hat with a select pin that I could not even get unless I spent the grand to join.
I got him in with countless beauties for photo opps. It was easy. I'd go my boy is going into the marines in 8 days & we never got turned down. Boy he did he have a blast.
Erica Enders even grabbed his tush when we had a pic taken.,how lucky.
I know I'll never miss the BIG Go again at ORP. O'rielly raceway park.
We did blow the trannie on the roadmaster, fitting it died at INDY.
My bud there will take a look at it,maybe a seal so he will fix it & sell it & send the cash back. No matter we rented A hot car & flew back.
I'll load up some pics soon & post them. I love the NHRA smile smiley smile smiley smile smiley
I almost get worked up as much as I do in the late ice bagging the monster slabs. Ask anyone who I recanted the stories too. We made alot of friends, turned some NASCAR guys into
NITRO maniacs.I took their pics & invited them to our site as some of these guys fish too.

I'll see you all soon.
My livingroom is turning into NITRO ALLEY.

Hi Keith,
I hope that you and David made it back OK. How about those finals! The last two days were great. I can't wait to see the pictures that you took, Tell David that I will be praying fo him on his tour and to be safe. We can talk some more about fishing when I get another opp.
Later for now, I wanted to make sure this was the correct address so I tried not to talk too much.

You did get it correct.
I am either at palisade1kid@yahoo.com or keith@yukon-eagle.com or any link in www.yukon-eagle.com
My son really thought you folks were great & that what you did was the coolest thing.I had enough of the locals being nasty, even went to the head security to air my beef. After talking with Bret for an hour we became friends & he said that he would come see me to wet a line as he is avid as I am when it comes to the outdoors,i.e. fishing-hunting.
I want to say that you are a very special person & I'm glad God brought us together.
Thanks again so much and let's stay in touch. We'll be going back next year. It is a good thing Memphis is between the Lucas Oil Nationals & the big go .Recovery time is always needed. The zoo@ BIR can really drain you.Should you & yours want to see for yourselves,I'd guide you. We have around 100,000 packing the stands & everyone stays to the end. At the big go a lot of folks left before the top 10 even started to run, unbelieveable! For the biggest race of the year,I suppose the 20/80 rule applies .Not at BIR,80% are true race fans. We are all the same when it comes to hospitality & you will never have to stand up as everyone knows when they stage ,you sitdown. It comes down to courtesy.
Again thankyou for the hat.My boy is truly hooked & you folks were a part of that.In his recanting the stories,Bennigans is at the top.
Peace be with you & may God shine his light on you.
Keith
