Just a thought that you better fill up your boat NOW, before we get to $4.00. It was $3.01 yesterday here and now with news about the corroded pipeline that supplies 8% of the country's gas... who knows what's gonna happen.. will we tap into our reserves finally?

Is this a controversial issue or not? Wasn't sure.. but 'Da Dude' will move it if need be

I don't think its to controversial since i am sure we all think it sucks.

I made sure I filled up this morning before work. I can make it almost 2 weeks on one tank so i should be able to ride it out.

I have a 2006 Mazda 3 that gets at worst 26 MPG, thats in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic. Gets as good as 35 MPG on open hwy.

When gas jumps 20 cents a gallon it costs me and my wife an extra $12 a month, so its managable but only to a point.

Ya,but you are not in the tar jungle, you are in country so I'd think your quality of life is much higher.
Besides you have a great paying job,it would be different if you worked at McDonalds.

I can see needing dough with guys like me wrecking your equipment.Ha I can beat on myself better than you can. I carry a nasty whip with 9 tails just for the flogging!

The high gas price has kept me from going to Duluth looking for jobs.. hopefully my junior high basketball coaching job in Duluth that I had last year is available this year.. amazing they haven't made contact yet though it doesn't start until November.... No way did I ever think a 12 gallon gas tank 4 cylinder SUNFIRE would cost more than $29.00 to fill.

BUT being paid to drive to Duluth 4 days a week gave me the ability to at least LOOK for jobs there during the morning.. It's also kept me from wandering any farther THAN Duluth this summer.

Thank god summer's almost over.. the consignment business picks up in the fall every year also. cool smiley
