We hit the lake on Saturday morning and fished 'til about 2:30 pm. Kind of slow for 'eyes and pike. We got toothed a few times when going deep. WalleyeBoy had a monster on, but couldn't get it up. Around 11 am we decided to hit the weed edges for bass. That is when it got interesting. Woodtic and I landed a couple very respectable bucketmouths. He snapped some pics, but hasn't sent them to me yet. We had abandonded live bait and used Texas rigs with grape Culprits. A lot of small stuff was caught with an ocassional nice one. Also caught a few jumbo sunnies. We could probably have limited out on the sunnies, but we weren't keeping anything, so the last half of fishing was concentrating on bass.
Had a great time, though. Always nice to get on the water
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
