Anyone heard anything current from Hidden Falls, thinking about trying to get down there Sunday evening if I can get everything done earlier in the weekend. I'll be walking the shore line and casting.

Spent about 2 hours casting along the shore line to the left of the boat launch. I walked and fished about 200 yards.

Not much to show for me work, I had one one small fish that came unhooked right by the shore. It was small enough that I didn't realize that it even hit my lure. From the looks of it I thought it was a 6-8 inch large mouth but I can't be sure, white and green was all I saw.

I casted a vartiety of things just to mix it up. Rapalas, crankbaits, Plasitcs (Mr. Twister and Shad) and a small Mepps. The fish hit a yellow Mr. Twister.

I did get to work on my tan, and check out all the boats on the river though. The river looked like 494 during rush hour at times tonight. Everyone must have wanted to get some sun today.

no wonder the fishing was poor.Between getting stirred up & the noise it's no wonder it was tough. Besides it's hotter than h e double toothpicks.

Yeah, when I saw all the boats buzzing by I knew it was going to be a tough go. Oh well, i still got outside for awhile. I called it quits early enough to go hit the driving range for awhile before heading home.

I will probably need to head down again another time when its a little calmer out there.

Hey PB, got any tips for this area, time of year or day that have fish holding closer to shore?

Not sure how I missed this one, anyway it was more then likely a Smallmouth.

In those conditions the fish are definately hugging the bottom and from shore it's difficult to keep your bait in the right place for very long....sounds like your approach was good and timing maybe a little off at least you got out on a nice day.....I'm going to be hitting this area hard during the week I'll let you guy's know what's working.

Speaking of golf I played in a Scramble this weekend we should have won we missed a 3 footer and ended up losing in a playoff....still made money though we had 3 eagles including a duece on a par 4.
We played with Rob "Hobey Baker" Stauber and he carried us all day.

I really felt like I had a hard time getting the bait down to where it needed to be.
I would cast out either paralell to shore maybe 5-10 feet out and reel back along shore making sure by bait was bumping rocks and stuff all the way or I would cast out from shore and let the bait sink as far as possible but a 1/4 oz is the largest jig head I had with me at the time so I know it wasn't in the strike zone very long.

I will be back, its very close for me to get out there maybe a 5 minute drive if I hit alot of lights.

Is it better to hit it later in the evening? I wanted to go later but I had to get will the getting was good, looked like the wife had chores in mind for me if I stuck around.

Any other shore areas that are good to try?
