I was doing some research the other day not even related to fishing. I was looking for a heating contractor in the Red Lake area. Well there was the mfp address to our Red Lake Thread.
I guess the more we post ,the more content we will have which is one way the search engines adds weight to our site.
I know Webdude would agree,so post up & post up often,
Thank you for your support.

You have it half right. More posts do not increase ranking but they do spread the likelyhood of people finding your site by some off-hand phrases. Your ranking depends on how your site is designed, number of incoming links and a bunch of other stuff. The reason MFP popped up when searching for a heating contractor in Red Lake is because the site ranks very well on its own, the weight of that ranking is reflected in the content of the site.

It actually is kind of useless if you think about it. A person searching for a heating contractor in Red Lake would probably click and then hit their back button or not click at all.

Anyway... you might want to read this page...

And here are some examples from my company...

exactly,so content is something I can add. Alot of guys in Mn. fish, well he sees the website now he is in .maybe he joins.
We all get here different ways. Some are personnally invited & others happen on through web searches.
I know there are differnt things a site must have to get pulled up from a search.I just thought anyone wanting to help& maybe not aware that thier posts help us grow on the WWW.Besides i'm trying to get others involved & it keeps me interested if I have someone that answers a post. It gets old answering your own post.
