I finally started catching some good walleyes here, after a summer of pretty crappy fishing. Caught a lot of them in 20 feet of water. Some even deeper. Fished mostly Big Cormorant and Detriot. Used jigs tipped with minnows. Seems the colder topwater did the trick. Cold as a witches you know what, and weather was pretty sucky, but at least we got the fish in the livewell!!!! Heard some good largemouths being caught too, but I didn't see any. Anyway. Good Luck.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
