Things have slowed down up on Kab. Mayflies seem to be in full swing. Warm weather probably helped with that. Fished mostly any reefs and/or drop-offs we could find. Depth was anywhere from 25' to 30'. Did some slip bobbers and just plain 'ol hook and sinker tipped with minnows and/or leeches. Most fish were caught either very early or very late in the day. I heard of some having success in the weeds but frankly, I couldn't find them. Try Martin, Harris or Ram along weed lines and deeper for 'eyes.
Also heard the smallies are now hitting pretty good. Try crayfish and top-water lures. Also the pike have been pretty good as of late. A bit small, though.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
