The mayflies have been pretty bad especially at night. Best fishing was Friday for sure most of what we caught was right before dark. A buddy and me brought in about 40 fish and we were able togat a few in the allowable slot. Largest was 26" with a bunch in the 24" range. Saturday we broght in a few more eaters and caught maybe 15 all together. Sunday was pretty slow with only 8. Using leeches and bobber fished. Fished between 25 and 30'. Edge of the flats out by 5 mile was wghere we were. We worked em pretty hard. Saturday night we got some rain and lightening. Had to get off. Not bad for the weekend.

I know a few guy's that get monster slabs down there on the big pond.
They rival BSL slabs. For me BSL is closer so thats where I end up.
I"d really like to see exactly where they get caught. I'd go then, just hate to get skunked.errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
In other words shut down!
Keep slapping those eyes around, till your giggleing starts to hurt if you know what I mean.

Rumor has it that the Mille Lacs crappie are huge but very hard to find. And when a guy finds them he keeps his mouth shut tight.

Best info i have been able to gather is to look in the south west portion of the lake. Its pretty vague but people guard the crappie in Mille Lacs like they are the last fish left on the planet.

Could very well be. I have heard anywhere from Vineland over to Hennipen Island. That should really narrow the search down.

They are there somewhere.

Read someone's story of a 5 lber out there, of course no pics and the fish was released so I am not so sure how truthful the story is.
