CK,
We did well on the Big Sandy eyes! I couldn't believe the amount of fisherman this weekend! It almost overruled the pleasure boaters. I did have a guy come all the way across the lake and pull in in front of me check his depth finder and then take off? Thanks buddy! Didnt matter the wife and I really didnt know what to do without chasing the kids around. We forgot what it was like to listen to the radio, play cards and finish the game, fish, get ready for two, the list could go on and on.

In case anyone is wondering who came across the lake like a streak of s@!@t saturday night without a second to spare before the downpoar and lightning that would of been me! Just one more fish and we will leave honey.........POW......BOOM...Okay lets get out of here!

Next week! I really need to get turtle boy out with a bobber. May head over to little red. I have my jon boat and trolling motor up. The POW BOOM was the lightning that didn't like me. Has the river been producing eyes?

I just luv TB,We'll go into red and get him on them.He won't be thinkin about turtles. His cork will be under. Some of the cabbage can be vertically jiged. Just have4-5 feet of line out.Drop into the open pockets in the cabbage. They'll knock the crap out of it.
Rick & I went into Lil red trolling for big pike. We caught pike, but the monster gills really were fun. The 2 1/2" sassy shad on an 1/8 th oz jig was the ticket. I went through 4 or 5, 3" ers before I down sized. They kept ripping of the tail. Once we got smaller they'd engulf the whole jig & body. There were several 11" dia.gills. I burned up a half roll taking their pics.
The river bites, literally.Between the horse flies, deer flies & skeeters, oyva! The water is muddy witht he rains too.
A guy could get on the river ,but the horseies & deer flies are murderous.
Esquagamah& waukenabo have alot of fish biting too. Both lakes have eyes in it.
It all depends on the time & what you want to try for. It's gotten to be all I care for is the action. Species does not matter, unless a guy wants to eat then it will make a difference.
