The pan fish including sunnies, bluegill, and crappie are doing well. A lot of the fish have been biting just before the weather fronts have entered our area. A variety of bait is being used including worms and minnows. Trolling and still fishing are both producing baskets and stringers of fish. Jumbo perch are also coming in by the baskets.
The northern pike, bass and walleye are also being caught on similar bait and during the same weather conditions.
If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
