I know you had a better time than I. I got stood up,tied 60 jigs instead while venting!
I had a close encounter with the 3rd kind(jet skiier). If my dad was not with I'd have had a word with their parents. I mean the only boat on the lake & to get within 100 ,come on. To top it off he does a donut right behind me. If I dod not know better I'd think he did it on purpose to scare the eyes off of the break I was working.

Everything went good! We arrived home earlier than expected yesterday so I came into work and saved a day of vacation for a friday sometime. I will post pics and a report when my energy level comes back up! Sucking wind today!

We needed to apply back in May but we can get an one over the counter(surplus).

See below

Bear hunters who were unsuccessful in this year's lottery may purchase
a surplus bear license starting at noon on Monday, Aug. 7. Surplus
licenses are available in the following six permit areas (# of surplus
permits available):

Area 13 (120)
Area 22 (58)
Area 24 (360)
Area 25 (113)
Area 45 (573)
Area 51 (531)

A map showing the location of these bear permit areas can be found on
the DNR Web site at www.dnr.state.mn.us. Bear licenses cost $39 for
residents and $196 for nonresidents.

We would be in area 51. It looks like there are over 5000 permits issued. I think there should be a few left if we buy them in Aug.
