Hey people,

I have been extremely busy as of late. I scanned through the forums and found some pics that needed to be added to the pics pages. If I missed some, could you please point them out?

Also, the new users signing up has dropped significantly the past month. A lot of people are probably busy out fishing... at least I hope so. If you have any ideas on how to drum up some more users, I would appreciate it. Most of the controversial stuff as been pretty nil as of late and I believe that is why. Anyway... I have been racking my brains trying to figure out a strategy to rope in some new users. Anything to help would be appreciated. I guess I was getting used to up to 5 new users a day... Maybe we've peaked?!?! I hope not. There are millions of fishing people in the area...

Last, but not least, I could use some more bona-fide reports in the reports forum. I used to get these pretty much daily. Don't have to giveaway your secret spot, but a report once in a while would be nice. Keeps people coming back for more. There was a post on MIA's and we have a lot of people that either got busy or are just checking in but not posting. Remember folks, information is what this site should be all about. Jiggle, Scrunch, BigBite, john, jj, etc... I know you guys are fishing... how about it? I see you dropping in occasionally. Maybe you all got confused with the new forum ;-)

Thanks!

I hear you WebDude,I 've noticed that as well. That is why I was trying to get that King thing going.I hoped for at least some new pics which generates posts. It died!
I'll keep posting my 300 a month.I wish others would chime in to respond.I know there are alot of meat users and I'd like to see how they are doing, especially when my presentation slows up on production. It would be nice to know that everyone else is seeing the same thing or they are drilling them ,which then I'd maybe b b b b b b buy some leeches or m m m m m minnows & pull out my lindy rig stuff.

Sorry, been busy. I did do Mille Lacs last weekend. I'll get a report in there when I get a chance.

I think the biggest thing is we need more reports here. Theres alot of talk but not alot of substance at times.

I only get out a few times a year so my reports are fewer and farther between. But alot of guys go out everyday but never give reports.

Another issue seems to be that not much of the state gets represented in the forum. We get reports about a few lakes here and there but if someone wants a report about a specific lake its not likely someone will have good info on the lake they are asking about.

I think getting the name out to more places is important. You let everyone who wants post the name of their site or resort so I think its time they start repaying the favor. Lets get resorts and bait shops that are listed here to throw your name out more often or atleast give a report from their area once a week.

If I were a resort owner I would be here everyday chatting it up because with this group I bet there would be some loyalty and we would go check that resort out since we know the owner.

I will continue posting reports when I have them and I will do my best to help. I do graphic design work as well so if any of those skills would help let me know. I do mainly print stuff but if new logos, flyers, t-shirt designs anything like that is needed let me know.
Actually t-shirt designs might not be a bad idea. You could give maybe the top 5-10 most frequent users a free shirt to help advirtise and then maybe sell the extras.

On second thought instead of t-shirts a better idea would be a sticker that can be put on a boat, truck, tackle box, store window. Anything to get the name of the site out. Stickers would be cheaper to produce, and easier to get more out to more people.

I like the sticker idea Nofishfisherman,I'd like a hat as well.
I will try to get some of my friends and family online. A few have checked it out ,but they did not register.

Well the big problem is money. This is a non-profit site so funds are rather limited. I may have to bite the bullet and do stickers and/or business cards. I will keep that in mind. It's a pain when you try doing something for nothing. Not complaining, mind you, just trying to figure out ways to attract new users. I think posts of current, good information is the best. I get a lot of lurkers daily that are reading the forums... maybe good information would spur them on to joining. I could possibly offer a day out on Mille Lacs or something for somebody who got x amount of new users to join. Got a nice boat and all the gear. You wouldn't have to bring anything. Would be fun for me too ;-)

I hear you about the costs of this stuff. Maybe I will look into the costs of stickers and see just how bad that would be. Maybe we can work something out for people to just buy them so you don't have to cover the costs of them. I would probably buy a couple. I don't have a boat but I have plano boxes that could use some sprucing up.

I'll have to go make some friends and get them to sign up. I could use a trip to Mille Lacs, never fished it in the summer. Only twice in the winter.

Found one site that would print Black and White stickers for $60-80 including shipping for 500 stickers, price depends on size and shape.

Red and Black stickers would be $100-150 for 500.

Thats the cheapest I could find. Mulit color is even more and you need to have it quoted personally.
