Thanks. I've heard that too. I've also heard that the blackflies are out in force already. Normally we don't have too much problem but I'd hate to get up there and find out I needed a head net. Oh well. It would still beat a good day at the office.
oh yea BA BEEEEE! If you know black flies like I know black flies you had better net up. Poor Mark had a hole in his headnet as he was working in the yard. He kept getting bit in the same spot.I guess he had more flies inside the net than there was outside of the net.
BWACW trips ,during the portages you'd get nailed in a serious way. Some guys would come back looking like they had a nasty case of chicken pox. I just let them drown in my blood. It was a good thing we always could pick a campsite where the wind was blowing into the site.Nasty, nasty, nasty little guys and deet does not work for repelling.
There is also another bug out there that will fly by and nail you taking a piece of meat. They come by so fast you can never kill them. It's like they wait for you, whammo!

If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
