I was able to set a personal record on Big Sandy last weekend. I managed to get a limit of eatable walleyes 15"-18" in 2 1/2hours. Yep you had to fish the rough side which did put a number on the trolling motor batteries but was well worth it. I managed this limit by making sure to have multiple baits in the boat. It was just to bad I only had one box of crawlers with me because they were hungry. Leeches worked but I managed 3-4 bites to there one. Its to bad that silly little guy pride thing took over and they did'nt want any crawlers until they were gone! The key was hamered copper lindy with the crawler hooked only in the head with a single hook. Then making sure the crawler didn't spin. Speed was .6 to .8 via gps. I seen many people come and go with out catching a fish or trolling to fast and catching Pike. I did see someone anchor up and jig a few but I stuck to what was working. Oh yea of course it was from 9:30am to 12:00pm a typical Big Sandy bite time.

Is it leagal to pitch Daredevils at jet skiers that can't seem to see a fishing rod in your hand?

Good Luck and good fishing and I will be up this weekend to do it again!

You know if those jet skiiers are flagrant in the law breaking a follow up to the dock they park, with a digital pic and the DNR can have some effect.
It all depends on how pissed you are & if you are willing to go the extra mile. The word would get out if only a few get busted.
As bad as I would like to shove a perch up someones cavity, sometimes you just turn the other cheek.
Life is too short, but then again so is the weekend and to have a kid ruining your day, well what do you do?
Your boat hauls ass,run em down and educate them personally 1st,maybe.
It's a touchy subject as they have the right to be on the water too.I know they do not carry range finders. Maybe there should be a class & distance gauging should be part of the education.

I spoke to Bob Mylnar of the DNR today & he said BSL was too hard to work as it's a big body of water, but that as I mentioned taking a photo you'd have them dead to rights.

If you are by any of the 3 places Prairie or the bridge road bridge or the dam they are supposed to keep it 5 mph.I went to the DNR site & they have a pdf that explains this.
I know SB ,it drives me nuts too. So your a guy that will just turn the other cheek.
I do not like talking to law enforcement anyway,so lets hook up & snag some eyes ,eh?
